Designed from the ground up by New Zealand company, 8 Development, these panels offer a great cost effective option for any control system for commercial or residential use. The TouchOne GEN3 7″ touch panel is well established and is used with Bosch Alarm systems as part of their kits.
8 Development has a NZ based office with a team of technical support staff to assist with testing new apps and any other issues, which is a major benefit.
Being Android based, they can run almost any Google Play app or dedicated APK file. The current app library is already extensive and adding any new apps is easy to arrange.
The panel can run a number of different apps, which can be launched from a home page or you can nominate a specific app (or Chrome pointing to specific URL) in Kiosk Mode. Kiosk mode means the app runs in full screen and needs a PIN code to get out of. Great for public areas or dedicated panels on a DSP or other control system.
The panel can be used with any number of hardware platforms that have an Android App or a built in HTML5 server. You can even point the URL to a web site!
Systems from QSC, Crestron, RTI, ELAN, Alfatron, Lightware and many others can now have a cost effective control panel option.
