Earthworks DK7 Drum Mic Kit
With the release of the revolutionary DM20 drum mic, Earthworks put together the DK7 drum mic kit to cater for both the live and studio requirements for the discerning drummer.
The Earthworks DM20 eliminates the gap between form and functionality, sparking new levels of performance. From the rich, mid lows to the crisp, airy highs, sacrifices in sound are a thing of the past with the DM20 condenser. And crafted out of stainless steel, its rugged build means it is equally at home on the road as it is in a studio. Massive rear rejection and a polar pattern that’s consistent across the entire frequency range means any off-axis leakage fades smoothly into the background in the mix.
Most live sound microphones sacrifice sound quality with big heavy dynamic capsules that move too slowly to capture the subtle high frequency details in the attack of a drum. Not the DM20. Its small diaphragm capsule coupled with a proprietary Class A amplifier circuit delivers an incredible transient response that’s meant for drums.
The DM20 can handle whatever you throw at it…and then some. With a staggering max acoustic input of 150dB SPL, even the loudest drummer won’t overload these mics.
The DK7 Premium Drum kit includes the following mics in a very rugged “take anywhere” case:
4 x DM20 Mics for Toms & Snare,
2 x SR25 Mics for Overheads,
1 x SR20LS Mic for Kick Drums,
Rim Mounts for DM20s,
Mic Clips for SR25s & SR20LS
Supplied in a high-impact carry case.
